Technical Overview

7075 extrusion is the high-strength profile. It does not weld the way 6061 does, and the T6 surface needs protection if it lives outside. Plate is 7075 sheet. Bar is 7075 bar. Tube is 7075 tube.

Extruded 7075 tube on this site is already specified to ASTM B221, EN 755-9, and AMS-QQ-A-200/11. A shaped profile in the same alloy is ordered to that extruded-product standard and to the section drawing. Seat-track sections are on the seat track page.
